Our Work
Palmerston Forts Society
The Palmerston Forts Society was formed in 1984 and is based at Fort Nelson, Fareham, which is now home to the Royal Armouries Museum of Artillery. In the early 1980's Fort Nelso was crumbling away but was rescued by Portsmouth City Council, and Hampshire County Council, along with a number of dedicated volunteers. These volunteers went on to become the core of the Society which now has an international membership.
Creative
Real IT have worked with the Society, including updating its logo, and designing and printing the new marketing material to promote the society.
Web
The Palmerston Forts Society approached Real IT looking for a new website. Our team worked with members of the committee to define a clear site structure. It was clear that the Society and its membership had a wealth of new and historic photos which we were keen to incorporate into the new design concepts. Within four weeks
www.palmerstonfortssociety.org.uk was launched.
The site also had a requirement for a members area, which allows the Society to provide updates to its membership through a password protected area. The site utilises our bespoke CMS allowing the committee and designated members to be able to manage the content, enabling them to keep it up to date with out IT skills.
